HANGING ROCK LOOKOUT

Public BBQ

A popular lookout on the cliffs above the Shoalhaven at Nowra, with a short, easy walk from the car park and a wide view over the river and the surrounding hills. A circular track leads down past several river lookouts and hill pathways to a swinging bridge and back, and Ben's Walk connects from here. Old rock shelters that housed Yuin people are worth taking time over. There is ample parking and toilets, and a recreation reserve alongside takes RVs and caravans at reasonable rates with clean toilets, showers and power, booked online. Bring food and water, as there is nothing on site.
